Kendrick on "Facebook IPO - "The mother of all bubbles""

Am I the only person on this planet that can see what a fiasco and giant bubble the Facebook IPO was?

The hype by the Banks and the freaking irresponsible media will hurt millions of small people who think they have to be in it or they might miss out on a big win.... Dohhh!

Some people should wake-up....., the Bankers' fees for the flotation totalled about $100m. Any individual who is a buyer of Facebook shares was / is being conned – sad if this is you or ultimately someone closer to your pension pot?

According to the Guardian, the owners of Facebook prior to the IPO were allegedly advised that by involving many Banks it would in effect be similar to buying off dissenting voices which would be a necessary element in creating the impression that the IPO is unanimously popular and incredibly oversubscribed, and therefore "hot". If a share is really 'hot', the Banks would offer it to their big institutional players in exchange for favours.

By pre-allocating 'hot shares' at the strike price, it would essentially be like giving someone money – that way, the owners of Facebook and their advising Bank's knew the stock price would shoot up once trading started, thus would be able to sell those pre-allocated shares and make a tidy profit.

All the pre-IPO hype was a telling sign that the Banks were engineering Facebook into a classic example of a hot share. They knew that Retail investors (i.e. individuals) would be clamouring for stock. Unfortunately, if you were one of those 'suckers' you would be shafted in favour of the Bank's institutional playmates. Many people who saw right through the hype predicted the stock will probably 'pop' like a damp squibb on the first day of trading, and it did.......

So, those SUCKERS who were fooled and sucked in by the US Media and Bank HYPE are now locked into a parcel of shares that were launched at the maximum price it would ever see and many of those institutions have already booked an instant profit by selling them into the market.

Buyer BEWARE, Retail investors have been steered into a corral like sheep and will probably be left holding the baby when the price tanks.

And..... if you are in any doubt as to whether it will TANK, consider the following....

1. This was touted as the biggest ever IPO, which was part of the hype machine.
2. The price was fixed at a level that was probably the ceiling price that Facebook would probably have been able to have achieved if it was a successful producer of goods.
3. The advertising model on Facebook is flawed, the Facebook click-through rate experienced from advertisers is one of the lowest in the industry - most have decided to invest their advertising dollars elsewhere.
4. The IPO Underwriters had to come in at the end of he day to prop gthe price up to prevent the end of day price from dropping BELOW the launch price!!!!!!
5. There was already an historical example of this BUBBLE, just look at the MySPACE example ..... The Murdoch Corporation bought MySPACE for $580 million ..... which afterwards was sold by them for a mere $35 million..... Dohhhh... if ever there was writing on the wall that was it.
6. How on earth could anyone believe Facebook is worth a $100 million let alone $100 BILLION, Facebook produces nothing and is just another fad that people will become bored with as soon as the next Social Media tool that is whizzier arrives.
7. There was a huge hint in Zuckerberg's name..... 'Sucker Mountain' or more aptly, they probably knew there was "a mountain of Suckers" waiting in the wings to be fleeced.

Frankly, I do not need to go on..... there is enough here to justify financial suicide for anyone who was stupid enough to invest in this SCAM..... and you better pray that the company looking after your pension were not equally as daft!

If you want proof of this criminal activity that appears to be allowed by the regulators and the Central Banks, read this excerpt from a Bloomberg News item:

From Bloomberg:

Five gold bars and 15 silver bars underlie eight Comex contracts between the brokerage and client Jason Fane of Ithaca, New York, London-based HSBC said in a court filing yesterday. Both parties have asserted claims to the bars, creating difficulties for HSBC, which is storing them, the bank said, asking a judge to decide who the rightful owner is.

“HSBC has received conflicting instructions regarding ownership and disposition of the property,” it said. “Accordingly, HSBC is exposed to multiple liabilities with respect to the disposition of the properties.”

According to Fane’s letter, the five Comex gold contracts are for an average of 99 ounces of gold each.

Giddens, who is liquidating the brokerage, has transferred about 38,000 commodity accounts to other firms. Three transfers of collateral made and pending will give commodity customers more than $4 billion of their assets, according to court filings.

The punchline:

WHERE ARE THE ARRESTS for the MF Global scam....

There is wisedom in what I said above..... you would wise to move any physical gold or silver out of the LBMA or CME warehouse system immediately. And only treat any GLD (gold) investment as a day trading vehicle otherwise you may find that your investment bould be lost the second there is a global liquidity or solvency freeze, because that particular asset will be wiped out as easily as lighting touch paper. As some of the MF Global investors discovered.

DO NOT TRUST THE:
================
BANKING SYSTEM, REGULATORS OR GOVERNMENT, IT LOOKS LIKE THEY ARE ALL KNOWINGLY OR UNNWITTINGLY BE COMPLICIT IN THIS PONZI SCHEME.

CAN YOU REALLY TAKE THE RISK OF IGNORING THIS AND DISCOVERING LIKE THE MF GLOBAL INVESTORS DID, THAT THEY WERE SCAMMED BY THE FINANCIAL SYSTEM.....?

Gilligan, did you get the news yesterday where on the Keiser Report on RTV, where Max Keiser and co-host Stacy Herbert discuss the great “unbanked” masses dumping gold believing in a “recovering economy” and an end to money printing, while banks and insiders buy gold and mortgage-backed securities in preparation for more quantitative easing by the Fed.

Apparently the Central Settlement Bank which facilitates payments between the Central Banks, (ie. the FED, Bank of England etc.,) was selling off any Paper that been related to gold transactions (because of the risk of rehypothecation / leveraging of a unique asset) and had last week (16th March 2012) bought USD$300m of physical gold.

Apparently that trend has continued this week and it is suspected that they have bought at least three times as much again this week.

If ever there was a warning sign for people this is it. When Banks start dumping the paper they have created and start amassing the physical gold. MF Global was rehypothecating (there is that word again), or lending, or repo-ing, or whatever you want to call it, that one physical asset many times over and over again, that it should not have been transferring ownership rights to under any circumstances. Essentially, this is at the heart of the whole MF Global situation.... looks like they were using rehypothecated client gold to satisfy liabilities?

The facts of the MFGlobal case have shown that investors who thought they had bought physical gold were indeed surprised to find that they shared the same bar of gold with at least 5 or more other Clients.... because of leveraging or rehypothecation.

Here comes the real problem...... HYPER-INFLATION..... indirect bail-outs will continue to happen through the INSIDIOUS quantitive easing that is being enforced to prevent the TOO-BIG to FAIL Banks from collapsing and to keep governments in power.

The Central Banks are printing money hand over fist and are giving this cheap money to Banks to buy Government Bonds..... using Debt to buy Debt.... a recipe for disaster.

As Banks and Brokers are forced to unwind these complex paper assets, they will find more toxic bundles of this rehypothecation .... which is just another glorified PONZI scheme, which has been sanctioned by the Regulators and Central Banks.

Gilligan, your message above has suggested stashing the cash..... No No No No.....

To hedge your position and ensure some diversity, you would be wise to ALSO stash physical gold and silver with your cash under your mattress...... otherwise you will be hit by hyperinflation.

The whole world can see what is going on, yet they stand idle and watch as their 'mate' climbs back into the seat of power yet again.

If anyone has half a brain they can see that the planet is in great danger of being stripped bare of all resources. Just last week they report the extinction of an African Rhino. Really, that should have more airtime than this STUPID phone hacking malarky that all the Celebs have been banging on about.

PUT IN A FREAKING PASSWORD YOU DIPSTICKS

Now, back to business at hand, rant over. The planets' resources are finite, I know I am in my twilight years and not long before I fall off the perch, but there is one thing I want to share with you.

I am SO GLAD my wife and I did NOT have any children (it was not from the want of trying) God had other plans for us and having children was not one of them. Yes we were intensely sad for decades, in fact we thought we were being punished for some past life misdeeds.

Alas, now with over 70 years under our hats, we look back and have become HAPPY at the thought that we have NO CHILDREN or gran children that would be left behind in a shithole of a world where theft, murder, selfishness, greed and the lack of decency and respect is the norm.

THANK YOU GOD FOR SPARING THEM HAVING TO FACE THE UPCOMING ARMAGEDON BEFORE US.

This is a problem the world over. Even here in the UK we have see the unfulfilled promises in every Parliament as far as I can recall and I was born just before the second world war. I am proud to be British and have on many occasion upheld that stiff upper lip line of integrity - sticking to my principles and NEVER going back on my word, even when it hurt me in doing so.

It is time for a NEW era of Governance and probity that is needed. Our Politicians should be made accountable for the promises they make to get into office. If they fail to deliver on them within the prescribed time they should automatically be BANNED from partaking in the next election.
There should also be fine imposed on that hurts their pockets.

Never before have we seen any form of chastisement for failure and lack of probity and integrity with Politicians.

I agree with about 85% of what is put forward in the Positics Constitution, in some areas it does not go far enought and in some areas it appears to be naively impractical, however, it is a damned good starter for ten. Well done to all of you that have contributed so far. I have some points to add and hope that we can start a specific thread on that very subject again like we had before.

Brace yourselves, this is not a whimsical bump, it is going to be a gargantuan crash with massive devastating consequences....

The Bank have been ripping the face off their customers, just like the Governments have been spending money they do NOT have.... the real debt is so much more than they have been admitting to....

Why do you think they have been unravelling this ever so slowly, hoping that you, we (the voting public)do NOT get alarmed and take our hard earned cash out of the Banks.

Look around you. The Banks are getting rid of bewteen 100 to 300,000 jobs. Not jobs of those at the top who are responsible for this diabolical mess... they are getting rid of people who have families, mortgages and other commitments. Yes, they do want to mkake sure their end of year figures show them to be in profit so that they can guarantee the BIG bonuses for themselves again....

Wake up, the Second Dip is here and this is only the beginning of the slippery-slope downwards.

STASH THE CASH.... STOP SPENDING YOUR HARD-EARNED CASH ON STUFF / THINGS!

KEEP THE SAME CURRENCY OF THE COUNTRY YOU LIVE IN AND YOU WILL SURVIVE.

Hey Dude, you need to lighten up!

We know corruption is everywhere. It has been around for as long as mankind has been able to talk and negotiate. The very nature of doing business is by default a corrupted methodology, because one party is trying to get the other side 'the buyer' to pay as much as possible, whilst the 'seller' has knowingly spent the least amount of energy or money to create the very product the buyer seeks.

Our entire financial system and economy is based on corruption. The key for mankind is to seek a more honest commercial mechanism with a stringent governance system that is based on integrity and fairness, where 'buyers' have security because the legal system makes the 'seller' accountable for their deceit. A Governance, where if the seller is dumb enough to be deceitful, they should be severely punished like they do in Saudi.

I hear you thinking, 'the problem with Saudi justice is that there will be millions of people without hands.... so who will wipe their asses'?

I fear the Positics Constitution does NOT go far enough!

If mankind is going to finally create a 'Paradise with Honesty, Integrity, Fairness, Security and Accountability' for ALL mankind the system should be much more HARSHER than the Saudi justice...., essentially there should be a three strikes and you are out policy: where they are ejected from society.

This policy should offer them two options; they can choose to be shipped indefinitely to a remote work colony or they can choose self administered suicide..... Whichever option they choose, they should NEVER be allowed back into civilised society.

Parents MUST also be made accountable for the behaviour of their spawn up until the age of 21.... that would be an incentive for real parenting to start up again... Sadly, it would probably take at least 5 generations under these strict policies before mankind would finally see integrity, honesty and kindness as default traits in their make-up.

Now that is an INCENTIVE with an equal DETERRENT...........!

HAVE YOU WATCHED THOSE VIDEOS?

I am back again.... Watching economy newscasts on various news channels is like watching a car crash in slow motion. Greece...., I...t..a..l..y..... just waiting for the BANG!

Why is it that they (Politicians) feel they have to save us from this train crash by bailing out countries by creating yet more DEBT. The Europeans want to leverage several hundred billion Euros to make it stretch into trillions of Euros, so that they can BAIL-OUT Italy and prevent Italy from defaulting.....

What about Greece, they have NOT yet resolved that car crash and they are trying to fool the masses that they can deal with the Italian situation.

Wall papering over the cracks, painting over the blemishes and ignoring the fact that the very foundations of the financial system is corrupt, bankrupt, over leveraged and a freaking PONZI scheme does not seem to factor into their thinking.....

Doh..... I am sure Homer Simson would do a better job than these moronic wannabees.

Let the freaking Banks and Countries DEFAULT, let the crap be washed away, then rebuild a stronger healthier structure from the ashes that has INTEGRITY.

Oh yes, I forgot.... Politicians and Integrity is an OXYMORON.....

Hi Hutton
Interesting and probably valid comments to your particular situation above.

Firstly apologies for my tardiness in responding, I have been abroad and blogging was the last thing my wife wanted me to do.....

The quoted price I showed above was an average from three different sources, all had quotes for different size roof installations, which strangley enough seemed to always come to about £15k or thereabouts. One quote was for as low as 1.2kW and the largest one was 3kW.

The point I was making was not about the actual price, merely that the pay-off always seemed to take 15 to 20 years, IF the FITS remained applicable. We have already seen restraints being applied and a skittishness for the Government to continue paying this ridiculous subsidy that everyone one knows is unstainable.... if it is too good to be true, then it is probably dodgy.

Essentially, the point I want to get across is that if anyone is going to shell out £10k to £20k and expect the Government to honour their promise to payout, you may be disappointed.

They have much bigger issues to deal with, for gawd's sake, Countries are going bust, Greece, Italy, Spain etc.... a dose of reality is needed that is all.

Benny,
A very interesting read but it looks like you may not have done your maths properly either.... a 4KWh (Real 3.68KWh) system (Maximum Domestic install allowed) costs about £10,000-£12,000 to install. Once up and running annual bills can be reduced by at least 1/4 and up-to 1/3 by simply adjusting your usage. Only set Dishwasher, Washing Machine, etc.. off in the day. Heat water by immersion during day and save on gas. Set timer on Deep Freeze to only work in Day etc.... I have no doubt there are other options others can think of like installing a storage heater etc....
If a House big enough for a full 4KWh system i.e 20 Panels has an annual electric bill of £900 and Gas of £500 then the combined bills can be reduced by up-to £400 PA. The feed in tariff is 43p per KWh generated and 50% of all generation at an additional 3p for the Feed Back rate. Meaning an average of 44.5p per unit generated. A 4KWh unit can be expected to generate up-to 3650KWh Per Annum. At 44.5p that is £1624.25. Added to the saving from utilities this is a total of over £2,000 PA. providing a 5 year payback... 6 to 7 years if you are not ideally situated to generate i.e. South South West facing 35 degree pitched roof and below a line drawn from Birmingham to Ipswich with no obstructions to the South.
As for the government stopping FIT they have decided to reduce the tariff to commercial installations generating more than the domestic maximum.
If every house with a south facing roof had PV panels on them we could sell electricity to the French and Germans but negative comments and misleading figures put out by individuals put a lot of people off. Also the more units installed the lower the costs become.
However, I do agree with you about the sales teams who will try and walk away with a 50% profit on an instillation getting the genuine companies to install them. Go directly to a MCS registered company and you should get a compliant system without having to suffer the BMW driving, cheap suite wearing sales people turning up and refuse to leave until midnight promising the best possible price after consulting their manager for special sign on the night deals 3 times - Vis-à-vis double glazing sales methods of hard sell.
Visit the governments own Energy Saving Trust and they will advise where to find genuine installation companies - http://www.energysavingtrust.org.uk

Good luck and don't let the dissenters get you down.

Note: My system has generated just over 1MWh since August and my domestic bills are down by over 1/4...... :-)

Hi All.

I have been away on holiday and did some more reading.....

This will help you to understand just how corrupt the Banking systems really are.

The following three links will give you an insight into the how corrupt the Banking and Political system really are.... They are both complicit in manipulating the money production system to create boom and bust.

If these to corrupt systems stay intertwined, the world economy is doomed to spiral downwards until we do 2 things: outlaw government borrowing; 2. outlaw fractional reserve lending. Banks should only be allowed to lend out money they actually have and nations do not have to run up a "National Debt". Remember: It's not what backs the money, it's who controls its quantity.

This video is about how money is created out of thin air based on debt, where a Central Government makes a promise to repay the debt on the money they print. To do this, they simply borrow the money from Banks, who charge interest, which they then loan out to the likes of you and me 100 times over..., where $1=$100.

This is called the “Fractional System”...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LvCo3GyzrR8

This documentary discusses the concepts of money, debt and taxes, and describes their development from biblical times onward. It covers the history of fractional-reserve banking, central banking, monetary policy, the bond market, and the Federal Reserve System in the United States.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXt1cayx0hs&feature=related

This documentary discusses remarkable pointers to the corruption in the monetary systems, that are hidden in the original book "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" remember “The Yellow Brick Road”....

It illustrates that going to a Gold system will be yet another gargantuan travesty of biblical proportions as it will give even more power to the Banks.
The solution is for Government to print interest free money that is fed into the system through infrastructure programmes that build up the country. It doesn't matter what backs the money, all that matters is who controls the quantity. That combined with the elimination of the ability of the federal government to BORROW – No More National Debt – is the solution to all our economic problems.

Historically, without exception, in every gold-only monetary system, the quantity of money is controlled -- not by the people, through their elected representatives -- but by the big bankers for their benefit alone. These periods have all suffered massive boom and bust periods, which are created by the powerful money masters to rape the masses of their accumulated wealth.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U71-KsDArFM

THIS LAST VIDEO IS THE LATEST IN A SERIES AND IS A MUST WATCH.............

Interestingly, I watched Peter Hitchens on BBC News a few days ago and was impressed with his blunt, honest and sage take on things. He stated what were common sense statements and probably the very thinking of more than 60% of the UK population.

I was really frustrated with the other commentators that the BBC had at their table with the news readers. They just could NOT for one moment take themselves out of their comfort zone and see it from Mr Hitchens view point. These people remained on the liberal side of the fence and would NOT take into account any conservative viewpoints.

All they could do was stand on their soap boxes and decry the common sense reality that was put before them. They refused to budge or even use the creative side of the mega-brains to make the leap into the world of an unbiased reality and to digest what is good common sense.

That is what is wrong with the world, not just Great Britain, for too long now, about three generations worth, have people been stuck in this entitlement world where they think their liberal ideas are the only way forward, and that everyone is equal.

Well guess what, we are not all equal, I wish I was born with a brain the size of the planet, a fat bank balance and land registered in my name. Sadly, I was at the back of the queue when this so called EQUALITY-LORD handed out those attributes, I have had to work really hard for every penny I own, every education certificate, every examination pass. I remember as a child, our family having to barter fish we caught in the rivers for food and meagre amounts of cash, so that we could afford the books for school. What I did have and thank God for that, was TWO parents, a mother and a father for the first 16 years of my life before I went into military service.

Yet, you never saw me in the riots, or in those shops lifting things that were not mine.

No, no no…. I was brought up with discipline, where a smack or wallop was the order of the day if I was delinquent. I was taught to respect my elders, respect others property, respect woman, respect the church, respect the law, respect the police and so it went on…..

Why am I different from these criminals who rampaged our cities and broke every rule in the book….. DISCIPLINE.

Well done Mr Peter Hitchens, you are on the right track.

Hey Mavrick, you are bang on the money with Mr Peter Hitchens, he is a class act.
The riots were both embarrassing and damaging to the UK brand. UK Plc has suffered yet another blow by those people who contribute the least.

Who in the right mind cannot see the riots for what they are. Surely even a dim-witted person with an IQ of at least 60+ points could see it for what it really was – criminal.

What is beguiling is that ALL of the TV channels and almost all of the Newspapers gave airtime to what are seemingly intelligent people who tried to politicise this to suit their own agenda and blaming everything or everyone else but the real root cause of the issue. Over fifty years of failed liberal policies, which had bred at least three generations of people who did not have a fully rounded upbringing because they were from single parent families. This often meant that they lacked discipline, comprehension of boundaries, or right from wrong and were of the entitlement echelon in society, where they believe the State had to provide for them and they had rights…..

They wasted their opportunity of free education instead choosing to strut around neighbourhoods in gangs, intimidating, bulling and robbing people. They also had no respect for those around them, or their property and more importantly, they disrespected authority, the Police and were a recipe for an impending disaster.

The riots underwent three phases;

1.	The Genesis of the Riots: The initial spark that kicked this off were a small group of people who genuinely thought they were protesting about the killing of a Mr Duggan known by the Police as a drug dealer. Unfortunately, this group decided to protest even though they did not have the real facts or any direct knowledge of what happened or how those events unfolded….. This element may have been legitimate for a very short while. That would not last long as all hell was about to break loose as the unruly decided to take advantage of the weak UK policies, a Police force who were terrified of restraining these reprobates because of previous castigations they received from the media after the ‘Rise in the Cost of Education’ riots earlier in 2011.

2.	Enter the Gangs and Criminal elements: These were the Gangs and independent criminals who had absolutely no respect for peoples’ property or the laws of this great country. The gangs saw an opportunity to milk the weak UK liberal system and exploit the spineless legal system and policies that we have engendered in this country over the last 50 years. These people were predominantly coloured people in the early stages of this event. The footage from the TV channels showed this to be the case for gthe first 18 hours at least.

3.	Enter the Opportunists: These were the latecomers who saw that the Police were simply standing around for the first day and were not taking any action against the criminal. So, the unwashed, poorly brought up values challenged people of all races and walks of life, decided to jump on the bandwagon and fill their boots.

Sadly, as history will soon show us, the first two sectors illustrated above got away with their crimes as the Police stood about for two days observing. It was only when the ‘Opportunists’ jumped in did the Police react and start arresting people. The irony of the whole sordid affair was that the Politicians, Police and Pressure Groups were all in denial and politicised the riots to score points and missed the entire reason and root cause of these riots.

Basically, it was a free-for-all and those people who jumped in were plain and simply criminals, who showed disrespect for the Government, the Police, their neighbours, their community, their fellow human beings and peoples property. These are not the sort of people we want in society.

Yet we are lumped with these unproductive members of society, and will have to support them on the social system because of dreadful liberalisation policies over the last 50 years.

In August 2011 England had a wake up call, when a section of society decided they were above the law and decided to run amok all over urban areas rioting, looting and killing.

There has only been ONE voice in the press who has really called it what it really is....

PETER HITCHENS: Police water cannon and plastic bullets? After 50 years of the most lavish welfare state on earth? What an abject failure !!!!!

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2025695/UK-riots-Police-water-cannon-plastic-bullets-After-50-years-lavish-welfare-state-earth-What-abject-failure-says-Peter-Hitchens.html

"....naughty children should be smacked at home and caned in school, that the police (and responsible adults) should be free to wallop louts and vandals caught in the act, that the police should return to preventive foot patrols, that prisons should be austere places of hard work, plain food and discipline without TV sets or semi-licit drugs, and that wrongdoers should be sent to them when they first take to crime, not when they are already habitual crooks,...."

"....divorce should be made very difficult and that the state should be energetically in favour of stable, married families with fathers (and cease forthwith to subsidise families without fathers)....."

Peter Hitchens deserves a medal and knighthood for his candid and frank news paper column, where he has nailed the issues which have screwed up the United Kingdom over the last 50 years.

Prime Minister Cameron has stated he is in favour of supporting marraige but has done NOTHING about supporting married couples.....

All sorts of people on the liberal left have crawled out of the woodwork to desperately steer this away from hoodlums or gangs being the culprits and it was down to the austere cuts being administered by the present government..... why?

Because they do NOT want to admit their LIBERAL policies are the primary ingredient of why this travesty has happened.

Those policies have spawned a large percentage of at least two generations of people who are rude, ignorant of what society really needs to be harmonious, disrespectful, have no concept of civility or etiquette and who are selfish greedy criminals at heart. These people have no moral compass and suffer from the lack of an upbringing with the necessary discipline or moral values.

The rest of the press are too scared to be as honest as Peter Hitchens has been in facing the reality of how sick this country really is now as a result of poor policies.

Since the advent of the Internet, TV and belatedly the Social Media (Twitter, Facebook etc), never before has the world been so under threat from corruption and debased moral values;

1. Corrupted Moral Values
2. Corrupted Government
3. Corrupted Officials
4. Corrupted Media
5. Corrupted Political System
6. Corrupted Educated System
7. Corrupted Family Values, which results in breakdown of family unity
8. Corrupted Legal System

The list goes on and on...... in 40 years the world has undergone a transformation, the advent of the electronic age has taken it's toll on mankind's moral fabric. The media has spread pictures and films showing crime, corrupted moral values and new ways of being bad.

The media ran advertisments for years telling people it as cool to smoke, remember the Marlborough man? The mere creation of an emotional response linked to being cool and an action, was sufficient to grow the number of smokers for decades. Guess what, nowadays the masses are exposed to emotional experiences where crime and distasteful horrific acts such as rape, murder and assault are an every day event on film, where the perpetrators are actors being cool. It obviously has an impact on makind and anyone who denies this is a dumbshit and pig ignorant moron.

The riots and senseless criminality that happened this last week (6th - 9th August 2011)in London is a result of these years of programming the masses with these messages that have weakend our very moral baseline mankind has relied on for centuries to keep the beast in all of us at bay.

If we had a proper Consititution under which our governments could make our laws, that the Police could act upon, we would have been in a very strong position to stem the outbreak of the violence England witnessed.

Take a read. http://blog4specialists.co.uk/constitution/Positics_Constitution.pdf

Well well...... it looks like the rich get richer and those poor sheep get poorer.

On Thursday August 4th, someone dropped a bomb on the bond market, they placed a $1 billion Armageddon trade betting the United States will lose its AAA credit rating.

In one moment, an invisible trader placed a single trade that moved the most liquid debt market in the world.

The massive trade wasn’t placed in bonds themselves; it was placed in the futures market.

The trade was for block trades of 5,370 10-year Treasury futures executed at 124-03 and 3,100 Treasury bond futures executed at 125-01. What did I tell you Mr President, I warned you that your closest friends were the ones buying your 10 bonds.....

The value of the trade was about $850 million dollars. In simple terms, if that was an UNREMARKABLE direct bond buy, no one would be talking about it.

However, with the use of futures, you have to have margin capacity behind the trade. That means with a single push of a button someone was willing to commit more than $1 billion of real capital to this trade with expectations of a 10-to-1 return ratio.

Guess what, the uplift was sparked by this clever dude..... he scampered off with a billion dollars and America lost its face..... well done the Fed, the Democrats and oh... I nearly forgot our illustrious financially astute leader el-president.

While the identity of the ‘mystery investor’ remains unknown, many indicators pointed to George Soros as the principal benefactor.

1. Soros has been tied to the Obama administration since the 2008 elections. In February of this year in fact, a Soros investment fund profited well on President Obama’s new green energy policies.

2. About the same time as the $1 Billion bet took place on the US credit rating downgrade, Soros made public the move to divest his management fund of outside investors, and quietly go private. This enables him to make trades and investments without being required to notify the SEC under the new Dodd-Frank act passed in Congress last year. SLICK!

Looks like you have been beaten at poker el-Presidenti.............

wakey wakey .... tick tock....tick tock....

The next thing that will happen is the US Democrats will now come out claiming the rebound is down to the silky smooth words and powerful, strong leadership of our super duper President.....

Yahoooo....yeah! I can just hear the lefty liberals murmur under your breath.

I can imagine all those sane people with their feet on the ground reaching for their sick bucket!!!!

But beware, the next dive is coming, history shows there are two dives, one follows the profit takers as they test the bottom again to see if it was at the real level the first time.....

Wait for it..... listen for the thud.

Karen,

the truth always comes out and I bet the President of America is sitting in his Oval office drinking tea with cream scones feeling very proud of himself about his little political escapade earlier. The S&P and Dow both dropped by 600 points each within an hour of him acting so smugly.

The market will recover somewhat before the close because the profit takers will jump in just before the markets close, historical data shows this is always the case. But I doubt it will recover to where it was before our beloved President and Financial GURU sprouted his arrogant political rhetoric.

After he made his speech, the White House made a veiled slam on the Republicans and the Tea Party being responsible for this 'Downgrade'......

“Look at the history of this – the fact of the matter is that this is essentially a Tea Party downgrade. The Tea Party brought us to the brink of a default.”

And quite rightly so, the Tea Party have retorted with a response that shows just how out of his depth our dear President is;

"If overspending America to the brink of bankruptcy is ‘no justifiable rationale’ for downgrading a credit rating, then what is?” asked Mark Meckler, National Coordinator of Tea Party Patriots. “Clearly this government still doesn’t get it. Even the communist Chinese get it.”

“In times of crisis, great leaders take responsibility,” continued Martin. “So, who will take responsibility for our nation’s debt and overspending? Which leaders will step up and say ‘the buck stops here?’ Who is willing to tell the truth to the American people?

“We’re waiting.”

CAN THOSE MUDDLE-MINDED PEOPLE AT THE WHITE-HOUSE READ.... IF SO READ THIS AND WEEP!

Reality check.....just listened to Obama addressing the nation. If it was meant to reassure, it didn’t!! He didn’t once mention the necessity to cut costs but reassured the unemployed that their entitlements would still be available and indirectly placing the blame on the Republicans / Tea party for the downgrade.

Who was Obama addressing, the financial markets or the electorate whom he needs to win a second term in POWER!

I agree with Mavrick that ultimately, it’s all about POWER!

Just look at the latest 'report into IT' published by the Parliamentary accounts select comittee (PASC). What as watered down 'lets not upset anyone' waste of a lot of effort!

There is hi-level corruption, both on the buying side and the supplier side.

I gave evidence at the PASC inquiry and in doing so have guaranteed I wont ever get an order. But they weren't going to give an order anyway.

The only way to make a difference is for more people to come forward and tell it how it is. It only takes a few snippets that can be pieced together and then an investigation could start.

At last a conversation where people do not seem to have their heads in some fuzzy cloud of 'everything will be okay if we just bury our head in the sand and pretend!'

Personally I think the west is heading into the abyss and it is far worse than just the current US or Euro crisis or a case of the governments cutting costs.

The east is growing and are the manufacturers . Fine whilst they were happy, or unaware, that when they make a short for a dollar, the west makes 19 dollars by controlling the supply chain to the end user. This worked well before the new paradigm of point oto point sales via the internet.

China and the others will take control of the supply chain and massively simplify it, then all of the west, who are able to pay taxes because they get paid to manage a supply chain will find that they are out of work.

I see the financial instability only bringing closer this change.

What to do about it?

Massive change in thinking and focus as to what we offer the world. If it is supply chain management and trade settlement then we are doomed. If we don't offer value to the world then the world will not buy from us.

The days of insular thinking assuming that what we have today will always continue, will lead the same way as history took the Greeks, the Romans, the Egyptians.

Thanks for starting this conversation and I look forward to reading more

I am listening to the news on CNBC when they suddenly turned over to the Obama speech on the Downgrade....

Pheweeeee he really does not get it. America has it's largest debt ever and Obama is trying to convince us that the whole world have voted with their money by buying the US debt through the 10 bonds.

Doh.... yes, that is a great investment over 10 years, Warren Buffet was quoted as saying it is a good investment. Both he and China are afraid that the US Dollar will tank and then there will be all kinds of shit hitting the fan, so guess who is buying your debt Mr President.

When will you forget the arrogance of America being the greatest country on the planet, it was, but it is no longer the case.

Not now it isn't..... it is fast lining up to become the greatest laughing stock as Asia surpass us and put us in our place if you Mr President do NOT sort out this problem we have on our doorstep.

Wakey wakey ..... tick tock tick tick....

Today was the reckoning if ever there was one.

The markets in Europe started off bouyantly, with a rise in expectations early on that Mr Trichet had miraculously saved the day with his genrous offer to buy Spanish and Italian debt with his freshly printed Euro bills. The ink was probably not yet dry before the sheep jumped in and followed on a buying streak. Alas, by the time ink dried the early players started selling off which caused the markets to slide again into the abyss.

I bet those not so smart sheep are 'smarting' at the fact that yet again they were led to the slaughter by the mercenary traders who saw the flock enter the gates.

When will people learn, you cannot wall paper over the cracks, QE never worked, it simply delayed the inevitable. Those shoddily run countries who are like the wild west have take their lumps and start working in a more controlled and regulated way. Not on that, they need to collect their taxes, and cut the costs of running their government.

The public in those countries need to get a grip and hold those politicians both current and of the past accountable for the endemic and catastrophic mess they have allowed their countries to get into.

Yes, I agree with you Mavrick - David Cameron saw the light and has shown both guts and yards of integrity compared to some of these other clowns who have had the privilege of office over the last four decades.

CUT THOSE DAMNED COSTS....

For years we have been hearing about Government project after project failing, after they have spent millions / billions on these initiatives. Customs & Excise, Inlend Revenue, NHS.... the list goes on and on.

Guess what, it is always those big American companies who seem to win these projects, EDS, Oracle for example. How can companies of such grandeur allow these projects to fail so miserably?

Easy, they are in it for the money, they are guaranteed fortnightly payments for years to do these projects which they see as money machines. The smaller comanies never seem to get a look in once these giant companies have wrapped their greedy mitts around the contracts.

The mandarins who officiate and extend these contracts are all part of unions, they are guaranteed jobs for life as long as they can keep the money flowing.

Where is the accountability?

Why is it that almost all of the general public can see the corruption going on here, yet when the Government instigates reviews after pressure, they see nothing wrong...

Something smells....

Time for WHISTLEBLOWERS to come forward and supply evidence so that the Fraud Office can investigate and put some people in jail as a deterrent....

Lets put the GREAT back into Great Britain and be proud of our wonderful green land.

The announcement of the S&P500 to downgrade America's tripple 'A' (AAA) was a brave call by S&P, since they were the only rating agency to do this. The US government responded by stating that their assessment is flawed becaus ethey made a two trillion dollar miscalculation.

Wow, the Goverment still does not get it..... irrespective of their claim, they surely must realise that the entire world wants them to take steps like David Cameron in England has done.... CUT your COSTS.

Bill Gross agrees that the S&P got it right....

The announcement over the weekend caused a downward slide of the Asian markets as expected, with important markets like the Hong Kong (HKE), Singapore (SGX) and the Shanghai Exchanges all showing more than a 2% slide on Monday morning.

Europe woke up to announcements that the ECB was going to buy Italian and Spanish debt... Where will they get the money from?

Looks like Mr Trichet thinks he can continue to following the Obama plan and print money to dig his way out of this slide and stem the slide in the European Market. Looks like more quantitive easing (QE) under a different guise. Remember People of Europe, everytime they print billions of new Euros, it adds to inflation which deflates the actual value of your Euro... You are being TAXED by stealth!

Doh!..... why do they not just back off and let the FREE market do what it needs to do and let the correction happen without interference from Governments who are part of the problem.

Wakey wakey Europe, you are just delaying the inevitable.

Benny on "Feed in Tariff (FITs) - domestic Solar or Wind Energy."

The Feed-in-Tariffs for your Green Energy generated from domestic Solar or Wind Turbine was a scheme dreamt up by the Labour Government as a way for them to meet the European Union green energy targets.

When the FIT scheme was launched, people were warned that this would turn out to be a scam if the Government decided to withdraw the money that was earmarked or promised for the FITS initiative.

Alas, many people thought they were smart, and just could not wait to get the Solar Panels or domestic Wind Turbine fitted to their property so that they could wag their miserable fingers at their neighbours who were not GREEN and as caring of the planet as them.

Their neighbours had the last laugh. These smart aleks paid out approximately £15,000 for the first kiloWatt and approximately half that again for every subsequent kiloWatt rating of their green energy generating device. The maths worked out that if the units they had fitted ran at approximately 40% efficiency they would get a return on their investment after the first 20 years........

Yeah, if you were sucked in by that malarky then you deserve to suffer the loss you would have made accrued on that deal. In addition to that painful truth, the company that sold you the equipment made off with a grand profit at your expense and laughed all the way to the Bank. They had no risk, all they had to do was tap into your biggest weakness, your EGO.....

Not feeling so smart now are you?

To make things worse, the Coalition Government is looking to demise the FITs scheme as it was, because they realised from the very beginning it was unsustainable. Obviously you must have also considered the commercial facts;

1. How could you have possibly thought that the Government could pay three times over the top for electricity..... surely you realised it could not possibly make economical sense?

2. No matter what your configuration of the roof was, wasn't it rather bizarre that the price always started at circa £15k?

Welcome to the real world.
